YAY! Finally, FINALLY got to see the Bleach: Memories of Nobody dub. And in theatres! YES.
Gotta say, for loving it so much, I really haven't seen much of the Bleach dubbed series. Mostly before and after the Soul Society arc. So some of the voices were new to me. Like Ukitake. JESUS. Good GOD. NO. His voice is just too... gruff? Deep? GAWD. He's one of the most sensitive shinigami, and yet they give him this voice that's like BWA. I AM UKITAKE AND I SHALL EAT YOUR SOUL. Man!
POSS. SPOILERS. Senna's voice was good, better than I thought it would be. Tessai's is just.... 0.0 as well as Chad's..... I guess I'm not one for deep voices ><. Anyway, moving on.... hmmm. Lesse..... Toushiro's took some getting used to, Rangiku's was fine and amused me to no end. Kenpachi's is kickass.... Yumichika's.... sur...prised me/freaked me out? He sounds like a gay British guy. Which, I suppose, is technically what he could be.
Lesse.... oh! THERE WAS A YAOI JOKE. Holy crap. Ikkaku and Iba were chillin' up high in Sereitei and they start a fight over sake, and Iba jumps up onto a roof, and Ikkaku's like "Takin' the high route, are ya?" and Iba's like "Yeah! It's always better on top!"
I swear to God, half the theater was choking.
I was laughing.

Fanfiction status: Gave my cop fic a tentative name, one word from me and one from Kiva---- Catalystic Dissonance. Which I like so far. But who knows. Character outlines are done, thank god, and I did the basic ideas and pretty much wrote the ending.... ><. So I know where everything needs to go. And I considered throwing Gin in as an ebil drug lord.... but I couldn't. So in the first few chapters, his motives are completely unclear, and he succeeds to freak even Shiro out. YAY. Love Gin-chan. =D
I want a seme/uke shirt.... But I can see my mam being like "WTFs a seme?"-- and wouldn't that be fun to explain.

Ah! Speaking of Bleach, posted the first Gin/Shiro fic ever on Fanfic.net. I was rather pleased. Still working on posting Reveille. [ie after exams] So, nothing to really say right now except I've gotta study until my brain fuckin' leaks out my ears.

Anyway... in the way of the otaku world, I checked in to the Ikasucon forums, and I swear to god I'm getting con fever already. I can't wait for it-- chanced are I'm cosplaying Kurosaki Ichigo from Bleach, Zangetsu courtesy of one of my friends. The one who informed me that I am not too short to cosplay Ichigo. Thanks. I hate being short.
Hm, what else? I reappeared in the D. Gray-man universe and read up to the current chapter, as well as finished what's up of Bleach and Fullmetal Alchemist.
*SPOILER* For FMA, I'm glad that Arakawa's actually brought Ed back around for a couple chapters. The (what was it?) three or four chapter break after he got Ed-kabobed was not pleasing. And I fear the end is near for the series.... T_____T
I also just started reading the series Fall In Love Like A Comic, since one of my friends shoved it at me and was like "HERE. READ IT." So I did, and.... eh. The art's not for me. I'm as picky about art as storyline. The main female character's just so.... stereotypical? I don't know if that's the word to use, but ah well. I prefer more detailed art, and to be frank, I prefer shonen manga. Don't get me wrong, there are lots of great shojo series out there, like Fushigi Yugi (gotta love Nuriko), but it's just not my thing.
Moving on, I finally got to hear the English version of Ichigo's Inner Hollow from Bleach, and I gotta say, when I first heard it I was like, "WTF?! Did they get Vic Mignogna to do it?!" And then I realized that no, Johnny Yong Bosch does both Ichigo and Shirosaki. But damn, Shiro really does sound like a girl in English. I got used to it, though. Really, really... used... to it. I, in fact, love it. Bleach is one of the few dubs where I like almost all the voice. Except Orihime. Ugh.
Speaking of bad dubs.... Gravitation, anyone? I finished the manga and started on EX (and mjor art change, wow), and I finally started on the anime, and discovered that I could not bear to watch it in English. To me, none of the voices were right. Sadly. Great manga, though. All you yaoi fans who have actually found this journal/blog/dumping ground should read it.
Fanfiction status: still working on posting the first chapter of Reveille and am now beta-ing a Harry Potter, which is long and pretty good so far. Also got depressedly inspired by the movie Schindler's List today and wrote a Bleach oneshot that's Gin/Shiro. It's a little strange (to me) that I haven't already found a ton of this pairing, but I suppose it is weird. I don't think I could write it in canon....
Ah, so this is my rambling for today.

Allrightey, this LJ thing is goin' pretty well for me so far. I'm still trying to figure out a few glitches, but I'm sure they'll come round. As soon as I get up to... speed with this site, I'll be posting all my fanfiction. Because I'm a review whore and want more people to see them.
Let's see... today's been pretty boring. But no one wants to hear about my life.
My current fandom is Bleach, and there are plenty of great fanfics and fanart, thank god. I don't know if I could go through another ZombiePowder or Immortal Rain deal. Let's see... I'm almost to chapter 300 of the manga, and I must say it is incredible. Love the art. I'm very picky about art, so that's a great compli..... ew. A Viagra commercial. At least it's better than the KY ones. Anyway-- My Bleach OTP are Ichigo/Shiro, Grimm/Ulqi, Aizen/Gin. Because they're all so damn cute.
What else have I been watching? Oh yes, I was sick with the flu and bedridden, so I watched the entirety of Cowboy Bebop in one day, and I must say it pwnz. Amazing. Amazing. Not enough Spike/Vicious fanfiction, though.
Fanfiction status: working on a collaborative story called Reveille for the pairing Shiro/Ichi, waiting to post the first on fanfic.net and for my partner to write the second chapter.
Also working on a Shiro/Ichi lemon fic, but it's softer than anything I've ever thought up before. Should be on fanfic in a few days.
So.... I'm pretty tired and I'm gonna go steal wireless so I can read fanfiction.
